We recently had a bad storm and were without power for multiple days. All the fridge food spoiled and the frozen stuff thawed and refroze 🤮 so now my task is to throw away everything and deep clean the whole thing before I start replacing all the groceries.

In terms of your wall and shelving, I'm a big fan of function (I am living that nightmare now😂). A towel rack or warmer would be great. If it's a guest bathroom, small baskets with extra toiletries people may forget might be a nice touch. I've used joint compound to patch walls, specifically holes and places where the outer layer of the drywall was missing (smooth edges, spray shellac to seal, then compound). In my limited amateur experience, lol, I've found that thin layers and wet sanding work well. Can't wait to see how everything comes together!

I fully agree about testing most products over time. There are some criteria that are hard to give an honest answer on in a short time, like durability. I've had good experiences with Casaluna pillows and candles. Target has some great private label home items. I'll consider this mattress pad when I get ready for the next one. Thanks for the tips!
